The Butler Sugar Bears preformed two dances Saturday January 6th, at Iroquois. First preforming their jazz performance, and taking first place. Then preforming hip hop, and taking first place there also. This now advances the Sugar Bears to State, Feb 24th. The Butler Bearetts got two wins this weekend. First one on Friday Jan 5th vs Central, winning with a score of 57-36. Then Saturday, vs beat Conner 43-36 at Franklin County. Jasmine Elder was named the MVP for the game. They are now 13-1 overall. The Butler Bears had remained undefeated all season till Jan 5, on the road against DeSales. The boys lost with a score of 62-53. JaQuay Wales had 15 and Reese Tolley added 14. Bears are now 13-1. They will be in action again Jan 6th vs North Bullitt, at Whitefield. The Bearettes traveled to Orlando Florida over the holiday break. Playing their first game Dec. 27 against Centennial (Roswell), GA, the girls won 51-27. The next day, in their second game against Whitmer (Toledo), OH, they won again with a score of 41-27. Lastly in the championship game the girls played Hoover, AL. The girls fell short and placed second with a score of 33-41. The girls record is now 11-1. They will be back in action January 5, 2018 vs Central, at Central. |
